Build DaysSeveral times on weekends during the semester we go on group builds. 10-12 Northeastern students come together to volunteer their time for a day building and renovating Habitat houses across Massachusetts.
Join our mailing list to learn when builds are! We offer builds throughout the year, even in the summer, for smaller groups of students. |
ReStoreIn addition to build days, we also find time to work at Habitat for Humanity ReStores. ReStores are non-profit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials, and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. ReStores provide another opportunity for families in need to improve their living conditions at a low cost.
Our members typically help with daily operation of the ReStore and additional necessary projects on the weekends, including cleaning, maintenance and repair, donation pickups, and other projects. |
Fundraising and AdvocacyA large part of our club is devoted to fundraising. Fundraising is an important aspect of our group continuing to support Habitat for Humanity's mission. We have done a variety of fundraisers, including letter-writing campaigns, UNO donation dinners and Five Guys Burgers for Builds nights, and care package donations.

Advocating and educating our members about the importance of our work is also important for our continued success. We are always looking for ways to educate our students and the community why the work we do matters. In the past, we have partnered with Northeastern's Resident Student Association for a homelessness awareness week, hosted tabling information sessions on Northeastern's campus, and held group activities in our club meetings to help educate ourselves about Habitat's purpose.

Future PlansWe are always thinking of new ways to expand our club and provide more exciting opportunities for our members! Future plans for our club include going on more builds each semester, sending students to go on Habitat for Humanity's collegiate challenge alternative spring break, and partnering with a local affiliate to sponsor a build.
